ABOUT KMSA

Knowledge Management South Africa

The society is a non-profit voluntary association governed by an elected management board, and hosted by an association management company for its day to day operations. The society serves its members by sourcing, developing and presenting on best international and localised practices in the profession using:

Governance

Founding Constitution

The society is a common law "voluntary association" based in Bryanston Johannesburg. Its constitution was adopted on 30 August 2017 in Sandton, by the founding members. 

Management Board

The governance and operational strategies of the association are in the hands of a management board consisting of a chairperson, vice chairperson and elected members.

National Secretariat

The society is hosted by an "association management company" providing its executive arm, including its national office, day to day leadership and administration.

Professionalisation & Code of Conduct

The association aspires to the professionalisation of knowledge management practitioners. To this end a code of conduct will be introduced in due course and processes will be set in motion to register the organisation as a professional body with the South African Qualifications Authority.
