- KMSA Webinar: Knowledge automation through using Generative AI
KMSA Webinar: Knowledge automation through using Generative AI Tuesday, 12 March 2024 13:00 - 14:00 CAT In this webinar, we will discuss the potential contribution of Generative AI in information processing and generation. Generative AI, such as GPT-3, enables the automation of knowledge-intensive tasks by synthesising human-like responses based on the prompting input provided. This technology can rapidly generate diverse and contextually relevant content, streamlining tasks like content creation, customer support, and even code generation. The ability to support knowledge processes with generative AI not only increases efficiency but also allows for the scaling of intellectual capabilities across various domains. However, ethical considerations, responsible use, potential biases, accuracy and the skill to develop good prompts need to be carefully addressed as we navigate the evolving landscape of knowledge automation through Generative AI. The emphasis on the human touch from the human-centred society (Society 5.0) will be contextualised from a knowledge management perspective. - KMSA Practitioner development masterclass series: Module 2
KMSA MASTERCLASS SERIES KMSA Practitioner development masterclass series: Module 2 Tuesday, 27 February 2024 19:00 - 21:00 CAT Exciting trends are poised to revolutionise the realm of knowledge management, shaping the growth, operations, and customer interactions of organisations. The ongoing digital revolution is fundamentally altering our work and learning environments, with technology playing a pivotal role. In this context, knowledge management is undergoing a significant transformation, gaining prominence as organisations seek to streamline processes, enhance customer experiences, and secure a competitive edge. In this evolving landscape, modern knowledge management processes are facilitating anonymous questioning and expert contributions from employees. This dynamic approach breaks down silos, fostering a living knowledge base that empowers teams across functions, such as R&D, product management, sales, help desks and client service desks, to deliver greater value with enhanced efficiency. The success or failure of organisations hinges on how they capture, store, share, and effectively manage collective knowledge in pursuit of business goals. Seamless access to knowledge enhances employee productivity, while obstacles to information retrieval lead to inefficiency and frustration. Problem-solving strategies often involve natural, informal communication and knowledge transfer, but the challenge lies in missing out on undocumented, tacit knowledge. Teams may spend unnecessary time searching for inaccessible information or redundantly addressing frequently asked questions. Conversely, intentional and effective knowledge management enables swift access to all available information, with the option to consult internal experts for further clarification. At its core, knowledge management is indispensable for organisations, especially those operating at scale. The capture, storage, and sharing of employees' knowledge and experience not only enrich the overall workforce's knowledge, but also boost efficiency and safeguard intellectual capital without compartmentalising it.
